About b2evolution
B2evolution CMS is a free open source content management system that uses PHP as a programming language and a MysQL database to store information. It was initially developed by François Planque as a fork from version 0.6.1 of b2.cafelog and first released in 2003. The most popular CMS, WordPress, was also forked from from b2/cafelog. Starting with version 5.0, the project started focusing on building a community and showcased online marketing features and integration with social networking sites like Twitter.
